The signing ceremony for the Sarsobeikman construction project agreement was in progress yesterday in Yangon. The Ministry of Information’s Printing and Publishing Department and the Indian government signed an agreement yesterday at Lotte Hotel Yangon for the construction of Sarsobeikman, a literary center.
Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn, India’s Ambassador to Myanmar Mr Vinay Kumar, and relevant officials attended the event. During his speech, the Union minister highlighted the significance of the day as a symbol of the enduring friendship between the two countries, which dates back to 4 January 1948. He emphasized a traditional solid connection of historical, cultural, and literary bonds shared by Myanmar and India.
