On 13 March at 1:00 pm, a ceremony will take place at Dhammayon on the pagoda platform to donate cash for gold plates for the whole structure of Uppatasanti Pagoda.
To cover the pagoda’s 3,485.87 square feet, 3,485 gold plates are required. As of the end of February, only 526 gold plates have been donated.
Each gold plate can be donated at a rate of 2.5 million kyats, according to the pagoda’s trustee board. It has been invited to the ceremony in person for well-wishers wishing to donate cash for the gold plates by the trustees.
