Myanmar ranks 7th in the list of countries with the highest number of overseas scholars among the countries in the ASEAN region.

According to the latest statements of the UNESCO Institute, Myanmar only ranks 7th in the list of countries with the highest number of overseas scholars among the countries in the ASEAN region in 2024. After the analyzing the number of the students from ASEAN countries to the foreign by the UNESCO Institute,the organization release that the 12628 Myanmar citizens went to study abroad. Among the countries in the ASEAN region, Vietnam is at the top of the list of countries with the largest number of students going to study abroad in 2024.In addition, Indonesia Malaysia Thailand and the Philippines were among the top 5 countries.
