Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Yao Wen today said that Beijing has been engaged with Myanmar to have a cease fire in Rakhine state to pave the way for Rohingya repatriation. Ambassador Yao said China will continue to play its role and hoped that Bangladesh and Myanmar will remain engaged to make arrangements so that the Rohingyas can return to Myanmar as soon as possible.
“Myanmar government already have three cease fire agreements. We wish to have another cease fire in the Rakhine state so that the mediation process for the repatriation can be started,” he said.
