Regarding the acting of the dog Kan Kaung in the film Kan Kaung, which received the support of many fans, the actor Paing Tagon said that Kan Kaung tried his best to satisfy the fans, and that Kung Kung deserved the Academy Award more than him.
Zaw Myint Oo, Chairman of the Academy Award Selection Screening Committee, said that the dog is not acting and will do as the master asks. It is impossible acting with emotion in animals.Therefore, according to his personal feelings, the academy does not give Kan Kaung and there is no way to reward the animal within the established Academy regulatory framework.
The 2023 Myanmar Film Excellence Awards ceremony will be held on February 3, and as the Academy Awards draw near, the voices of the actors are getting louder.
