A temporary bailey bridge has been installed so that pilgrims can conveniently visit the Aut Sat Taw Yar (Lower footprint) of Mann Shwe Settawyar Pagoda

According to the Mann Shwe Settawyar Pagoda Board of Trustees, a temporary bailey iron bridge was completed on January 17 so that pilgrims from all over the regions could easily visit the footprint of the Mann Shwe Settawyar Pagoda during the Mann Shwe Settawyar Pagoda Ceremony in Minbu (Sku) Township, Minbu District, Magway Division.

“The construction of a 12-foot-8-inch-width, 100-foot-long temporary bailey iron bridge was started on the 8th of this month by the donation of the Prime Minister so that pilgrims can easily and conveniently visit the lower footprint of Mann Shwe Settawyar Pagoda in any season,” said U Thein Hlaing, vice chairman of the Mann Shwe Settawyar Pagoda Board of Trustees.

The Mann Shwe Settawyar Pagoda is a Grade A Listed Pagoda in Myanmar and is one of the longest and most famous pagoda Ceremony in Myanmar. Normally, the Mann Shwe Settawyar Pagoda Ceremony is held for 80 days. The opening of this year’s ceremony will begin on February 14, 2024, and this year’s ceremony will held only 64 days.
