Action on the tip-off, a combined team including Drug Enforcement Division examined a CELSIOR vehicle driven by Tin Maung, leading to Tharzi Township from Taunggyi, near the Kwaetaksone village in Tharsi Township of Mandalay Region, at 7:00 AM on 14th October 2023. Meanwhile, the team seized 100 heroin blocks weight 38 kg worth of 9.5 billion kyats on this vehicle. In accordance with the investigation, it was identified that the seized blocks were being carried to Takgone Township from Nyaung Shwe Township. In this case, the arrestee has been taken action under the law. CCDAC Myanmar expressed that the follow-up processes are being carried out to trace the drug linkages of the case.
