More than 239191 tons of mung bean worth US$-161 million were exported to abroad during six months of 2023-2024 financial year, according to the Ministry of Commerce.
From 1 April to 29 September 2023, over 183198 tons of mung bean were exported through maritime route and over 55992 tons of mung bean via border trade route.
Myanmar earned over US$-715 million from the export of more than 863366 tons of assorted beans to foreign countries from April to September this year, according to statistics of the MoC.
Myanmar mainly exports assorted beans to India, China and European countries.
