State Administration Council has declared martial law in Shwebo, Wetlet and Ayadaw townships of North-West Command on 22 February.
SAC has released martial law order 8/2023 on 22 February to enforce security, the rule of law and community peace in the townships under the Section 419 of State Constitution.
As SAC has transferred the executive and judiciary power to the Commander of North-West Command, the commander shall exercise the martial law by himself, or military region commanders depend on the variable situations in real time.
SAC declared martial law in 37 townships in 8 regions and states on 2 February.
