The Senior General said that Myanmar is a trustworthy neighbouring country that is not a two-face one for China and her citizens and Myanmar-born Chinese people. China is an important neighbouring country and a multi-strategy partner for Myanmar as well. Then, he extended New Year wishes to Chinese descendants.
Myanmar issued a statement recognizing the People’s Republic of China on 1 December, 1949. Diplomatic relations between the two countries was established on 8 June, 1950, hed added.
And 8 June this year will mark the 73th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
“China issued the third whitepaper concerning China (Taipei) on 10 August, 2022. Myanmar has supported the one China policy as a good neighbour in accordance with a Myanmar saying ‘Keep one’s own precepts whosoever is breaching theirs.’,” the Senior General said.
The Senior Genera said: “I would like to express my special gratitude to China for designating Myanmar as a dialogue partner in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.”
