Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, accompanied by his entourage, the Mandalay Region chief minister, the commander of Central Command and officials, inspected the boosted production of the Tatmadaw Textile and Garment Factory (Meiktila) and No. 3 Cement Factory (1,200 tons) this morning.
The Tatmadaw Textile and Garment Factory (Meiktila)
First, the Senior General and party arrived at the Tatmadaw Textile and Garment Factory (Meiktila) and the factory mana-ger, at the meeting hall of the factory, reported to the Senior General on implementation of instructions given by the Senior General on his previous visits, capabilities of machines install-ed in respective section of the factory, production of different yarns, materials and garments and agriculture and livestock breeding tasks for welfare of factory workers.
After hearing the report, the Senior General said it is necessary to prioritize quality over quantity in textile production and to produce yarns and materials enough to meet the demand of domestic micro, small and medium industries. It is important that the actual well-being of workers is actually provided in carrying out welfare tasks. The Senior General also gave other necessary instructions.
Then, the Senior General inspected the quality of uniform cloth and textiles displayed at the factory and gave instruct-ions on quality control, boosting production to meet the demand of the market and other needs based on reports of officials.
Afterward, the Senior General and party inspected the pro-duction processes of the yarn workshop and spinnin workshop and gave necessary instructions based on reports of officials.
Then, the Senior General presented cash rewards for workers of the factory to an official.
The textile and garment factory has been producing uniforms for Tatmadaw personnel and members of the Myanmar Police Force, school uniforms
and daily textiles. As the government has been boosting the domestic production of textiles, the factory built a 2/80 yarn factory branch in December, 2024 and is fulfilling the demand of domestic textile industries to some extent by producing textiles in accordance with set quality standards.
No.3 Cement Factory (1,200 tons)
In the afternoon, the Senior General and party arrived at No. (3) Cement Factory (1,200 tons) of Myanmar Economic Corporation and at the meeting hall of the factory, Chairman of the MEC General Nyo Saw reported to the Senior General
on implementation of the instructions given by the Senior General during his previous visits, productivity of domestic cement factories. Then, the factory manager reported to the Senior General on salient points of the factory and production and distribution of cement of the factory in respective fiscal years.
After hearing the reports, the Senior General gave instruct-ions on meeting the domestic demand of cement, productivity and effective operations of the factory and other needs.
Then, the Senior General inspected the production processes of the factory and gave necessary instructions based on reports of officials.
Afterward, the Senior General presented cash rewards for factory workers to a factory official.
