The ILO adopted a decision on Myanmar yesterday (June 5) during the 113th International Labour Conference of the International Labour Organization (ILO), the Ministry of Labor said.
The decision was based on the ILO’s political approaches and was a unilateral decision requested with the aim of putting pressure on the Myanmar government through the ILO website, the Ministry of Labor said in a statement.
Therefore, the decision issued by the ILO is a decision that is intended to exert political pressure and will not affect employers, workers, and businesses operating in Myanmar, so they can continue to work peacefully without worry.
The Ministry of Labor has announced that it will continue to engage with the international community, including the ILO, to ensure that the rights of workers, which are important for Myanmar’s development, are developed in accordance with the law, develop social life, and create employment opportunities, and will continue to cooperate in a manner that does not violate Myanmar’s sovereignty and independence.
