The number of monks and pilgrims who have come to the Marawijaya Buddha statue from all over the world has reached 2.5 million.
To commemorate this, gifts of Dharma were presented to the 2.5 millionth pilgrim.
The Marawijaya Buddha statue is located in the Buddha Garden in the Dakshina Thiri Township of the Union Territory of Nay Pyi Taw, and is the tallest seated Buddha statue in the world.
The Marawijaya Buddha statue was opened to the public on August 8, 2023, and has been continuously crowded with pilgrims from home and abroad every day.
