Over 14 million gallons of fuel oil unloads at terminals of Thilawa port

A total of 5.47 million gallons of fuel oil was unloaded within two days and over 14 million gallons is being unloading at the ports, according to Fuel Oil Import, Storage and Distribution Supervisory Committee.

As measures are being taken for fuel sufficiency depending on the types of oil locally, MT Synergy vessel unloaded 0.91 million gallons of 92 Ron, 2.55 million gallons of disel and 1.34 million gallons of premium disel at terminals of Thilawa port in Yangon Region on 24 October.

In addition, MT Aulac Vision vessel unloaded 2.01 million gallons of 92 Ron on 25 October.
MT Yu Dong vessel will unload 2.76 million gallons of 92 Ron, 0.92 million gallons of 95 Ron and 1.65 million gallons of disel at the port. MT Harmony One vessel carrying 3.07 million gallons of disel and 3.073 million gallons of premium disel; and MT Intan Premier vessel carrying 2.67 million gallons of premium disel will dock at respective terminals and fuel oil unloading process will be undertaken.
According to the fuel oil stocks at Yangon Thilawa port and fuel oil stations, the fuel oil is sufficient locally, an official from the committee said.

According to the consequence of FATF’s blacklist, most car owners thought that the fuel oil prices will be high and bought fuel oil at a price of around Ks-1985 for 92 Ron on October 22, 23, 24. But the domestic fuel oil is falling down. The fuel oil prices dropped to Ks-1920 per litre for 92 Ron, Ks-2015 per litre for 95 Ron, Ks-2610 per litre for disel and Ks-2695 per litre for premium disel on 27 October.
