During the upcoming Great Thingyan, a large number of people have booked hotel rooms to visit and relax at Chaung Thar Beach in Khao Tha Town, Ayeyawaddy Region.
“Many hotel rooms in the Chaung Thar beach area have been sold out. Nowadays, it is very difficult to get a room. These days, hotels are hiring more staff. Since many guests will come, they are preparing in advance. “We are preparing food in advance to make the guests feel comfortable, cleaning the beach, visiting the island, visiting nearby villages, board rides, and so on,” said an official from the Tourism Entrepreneurs Association.
It is also said that although domestic and foreign visitors come to Chaung Thar Beach, it is a beach that domestic visitors like more.
Chaung Thar Beach is located 40 kilometers west of Pathein City, and if you come by car from Yangon, you only have to drive for about five hours. There are more tourists visiting this beach during Thingyan days and New Year holidays. It is also known that in addition to Chaung Thar Beach, can visit Phoe Kala Island and Thae Phyu Island Water Pagoda by motorboat, and can also go to Kyauk Maung Nama Pagoda by car and motorcycle.
