The Myanmar team left for Saudi Arabia to compete in the World Cup qualifier

The Myanmar team will play an away match against the Syrian team for the 2026 World Cup qualifying match on March 26 and has left for Saudi Arabia on the evening of March 22. The Syrian team and the Myanmar team will play in Saudi Arabia on March 26. They will be playing away for the second time in Daman City

For this match, Myanmar team head coach Michael Feichtenbeiner selected the final (22) players. According to the list, as goalkeepers, Phae Phyo Aung, San Satt Naing (Rangon United), and Kyaw Zin Phyo (Shan United) participated in the goalkeeper list. The back row features talented players: Hein Zeya Lin, David Thang (Rangon United), Kaung Htet Paing, Nyein Chan (Dagon Port FC), Hein Phyo Win (Ratchaburi FC), Soe Moe Kyaw (Phnom Penh Crown), Zwe Khant Min, Thet Hein Soe, Khon Kyaw Zin Hein (Shan United).

The midfield was reinforced by experienced players: Yan Naing Oo, Zaw Win Thein ( Yangon United), Kyaw Min Oo (PDRM FC), Nay Moe Naing (Hantharwaddy United), Lwin Moe Aung (Rayong FC), Hein Htet Aung ( Negeri Sembilan). The forward of the team Myanmar was set up with talented youths: Aung Thu ( Uthai Thani Fc), Mg Mg Lwin (Lamphun Warrior Fc), Aung Kaung Man ( Nakhon Ratchasima Fc) and Oakker Naing (Yangon United).

The first match between the Syrian and Myanmar team was held on March 21, in Yangon. The game was played at the Thuwanna Stadium and the result was a draw.
