The head coach of the Myanmar national team, Michael Feitenbiner, announced the preliminary list of 35 Myanmar national team players for the 2026 World Cup qualifying matches against the Syrian team. The list includes 22 players from local clubs. There are 13 players from Thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia, Indonesia and Bhutanese leagues and they will start training on March 11.
The Myanmar national team will play the second round of the 2026 World Cup qualifier against the Syria at Suwanna Stadium on March 21, 6:00 p.m. and on March 26 the away match will also be played in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.
The Syrian team is a good team that was able to qualify for the 16th round of the Asian Cup 2023, and is currently ranked 89th in the FIFA world.The veteran coach Hector Kopp handled as a coach at the Inter, Pama, Betis, Mallorca and Egyptian teams.
