Maize exporters request that the Myawady border route be reopened during the period of tax-free for maize exporters to Thailand

According to the Maize and Sesame Traders Association, they want to reopen the Myawady Border Trade Route in order to export more Myanmar corn to Thailand during the months of February and August (Tax-Free Months).
Thailand collects more than 70 percent tax on corn imports, and Myanmar corn imports are exempted from tax rates from February to August every year.
