The mayor of Udine, Alberto Di Toni, plans to present an honorary award to AC Milan goalkeeper Menon, who was racially abused by Udinese fans yesterday. He further stated: “I was deeply hurt by what happened yesterday and for this very reason I want to express the solidarity of Udine, and of the Udinese fans who do not feel represented by what happened yesterday.”
Maignan was called a ‘monkey’ and was targeted to racist chants by a side of Udinese fans yesterday, as Milan picked up a 3-2 win over the Friulani.
