The cabinet meeting of Thailand gel on 10 October decided to extend permits to stay in the country.
According to the resolution of the cabinet meeting, Thailand allowed extension to stay in the country and work permits for foreign workers. Foreign workers in Thailand were allowed to stay and work temporarily in the country till 1 October 2025.
Employers must submit names of workers to authorities within 90 days while allowing the workers to have a waiver to remain in Thailand from 18 January 2023 to 15 January 2024, the workers’ children younger than 18 have the right to stay in Thailand with their parents as fixed period, the workers’s children older than 18 can stay until 25 January 2025 and if they want to work, the have to apply work permission.
Myanmar workers in Thailand will have to inform the above news to their employers and officials from their factories.
