Governor of the Central Bank of Myanmar Daw Than Than Swe received a delegation led by Indian Ambassador to Myanmar Mr. Vinay Kumar at the CBM in Nay Pyi Taw on 21 July.
At the meeting, they discussed matters on opening a special bank account for Rupee/ Kyat direct payment for bilateral trade, and to allow adding the Rupee in any ways into the Myanmar bank accounts which will be opened at Punjub National Bank.
Both sides’ discussion included plans to implement as per the concept notes, and remittance by migrants in India. They also discussed eliminating money laundering between the two countries and technical support.
