Coordination meeting to hold consecration and alms-giving ceremony with 11,111 members of Sangha at Shwedagon Pagoda took place

The coordination meeting to successfully hold the consecration and alms-giving ceremony to 11,111 members of Sangha was held at Shwedagon Pagoda on 19 April.
Present at the meeting were members of Sangha led by chairman of Yangon Region Sangha Nayaka Body leading presiding Nayaka Sayadaw of Tipitaka Linkara Buddhist Learning Center Bhadanta Agga Sami, region chief minister U Soe Thein, commander of Yangon Command Zaw Hein, region government ministers, departmental officials and invited guests.
First, Sayadaw delivered Ovadakatha. Then, region chief minister and commander extended opening speech respectively. Afterward, secretary of Yangon Region government reported on tasks of the ceremony.
Then, International Theravāda Buddhist Missionary University’s vice rector (Management) discussed matters to be carried out the consecration and alms-giving ceremony with 11,111 members of Sangha from religious associations at Shwedagon Pagoda.
Officials from working committees reported to region chief minister and commander who fulfilled the needs on the reports.
