Chairman of the State Administration Council Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received Secretary of CPC Yunnan Provincial Committee of the People’s Republic of China H. E. Mr. Wang Ning in Nay Pyi Taw on 3 April.
They discussed stability of border areas between the two countries, cooperation for promotion of friendship and cooperation for bilateral development.
At the call, they warmly discussed stability of border areas between the two countries, cooperation for promotion of friendship, cooperation for bilateral development between Myanmar and Yunnan Province, development of the electricity, agriculture, livestock breeding and industrial sectors and border trade, cooperation for the development of the tourism sector, cooperation for cultural exchange and the healthcare sector and launching direct flights between Myanmar and Yunnan Province, according to Information Team of the SAC.
Also present at the call together with the Senior General were Joint Secretary Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo of the SAC, Union Minister for International Cooperation U Ko Ko Hlaing and officials. The committee secretary was accompanied by Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Myanmar H. E. Mr Chen Hai and officials.
Secretary of CPC Yunnan Provincial Committee of the People’s Republic of China H. E. Mr. Wang Ning paid a working visit to Myanmar on 1 April till 3 April. During the visit, he witnessed the signing and exchanging ceremony of the agreements and memoranda of understanding between Myanmar and Yunnan, namely, the Agreement of Grain Supply Chain Cooperation, the Agreement of Fertilizer Supply Chain Cooperation, Kyaukphyu Future Mobile Clinic Project, Memorandum of Understanding on the import cooperation of agricultural produce in Myanmar and Power Purchase Agreement for Dapein 1 Hydropower Plant held in Nay Pyi Taw on 2 April.
