In commemoration of the 75th Anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and the Russian Federation, a documentary photo exhibition was held at the Grandpa Durov’s Corner Animal Theatre in Moscow, Russia at 2 pm on 22 February 2023.
The documentary photo exhibition shows Myanmar Elephant show, delivery of the elephants to Russia, elephant maintenance, take care of them and training the elephants.
Myanmar Embassy in Russian Federation, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Russian Government and Grandpa Durov’s Corner Animal Theatre jointly held the documentary photo exhibition.
At the event, Russian Government Minister and Head of Moscow Foreign Economic and International Relations Department H.E. Mr. Sergery Cheremin, Myanmar Ambassador to Russia U Lwin Oo, Director-General of Third Asian Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russian Federation Mr. Nikolay Nozdrev and Director of Art from Grandpa Durov’s Corner Animal Theatre Mrs. Natalia Durova extended greetings respectively.
Afterwards, about 10 years old Myanmar elephants and other animals that Myanmar gave Russia in marking the 75th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Myanmar and the Russian Federation entertained with dance and performance.
After the entertainment, Myanmar Ambassador U Lwin Oo and wife presented honorary flower basket.
The staff and families of Myanmar Embassy led by Myanmar Ambassador, Military Attache Brig-Gen Moe Kyaw and staff and families of Myanmar military attache office, deputy minister of Defence of Russian Federation Colonel General Alexander Vasilyevich Fomin, Russian Government Minister and Head of Moscow Foreign Economic and International Relations Department H.E. Mr. Sergery Cheremin, Chairman of Public Affairs Council of the Ministry of Defence H.E. Mr. Pavel Nikolaevich Gusev, Third Asian Department Director-General Mr. Nikolay Nozdrev, deputy head of Kaluga region government Mr. Vladimir V. Potyomkin, officials of Grandpa Durov’s Corner Animal Theatre, ambassadors of ASEAN embassies to Russian Federation, military attaches and staff of embassies and Myanmar scholars who are in Moscow attended.
