A ceremony to enshrine religious objects in the reliquaries was held this morning at the centre point on the Yadana Throne of Maravijaya Buddha Image in Maravijaya Buddha Park in Dekkhinathiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw, Union Territory.
Present at the ceremony were Sayadaws led by Ovadacariya Sayadaw of Maravijaya Buddha Image Construction Patron of Mingala Zeyon Monastery, Pali University, Pyinmana, Nay Pyi Taw Sayadaw Agga Maha Pandita Saddhammajotikadhaja Bhaddanta Vimalabuddhi, the main donor Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and other donors.
First, the Senior General paid respects to Sayadaws led by Pali Sayadaw at the briefing hall of the park. Led by the Senior General, the procession enshrined the horoscopes of Buddha, gold, silver and gems and foreign silver coins collectively donated by various donors in the golden boxes that would be enshrined in the reliquaries in accord with the religious tradition and sprinkled scented water on the precious objects.
Master of ceremonies read out Mingala Akhadaw, and at the auscipious time, the Pali Sayadaw and the Senior General enshrined the gold boxes containing the horoscopes of Buddha, gold, silver and gems and foreign silver coins collectively donated by various donors and the plaque of the Image in the respective reliquaries in accord with the religious tradition.
The Sayadaw and the Senior General sprinkled scented water on the reliquaries. Sayadaws led by Pali Sayadaw recited religious verses to mark the success of the ceremony. The MC led the congregation to share the merits gained.
The congregation recited Buddha sasanamciratithatu three times to conclude the ceremony. Senior General Min Aung Hlaing performs religious rites to mark the success of the ceremony.
