State Administration Council Chairman Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received Chief of Defence Forces of the Royal Thai Armed Forces General Chalermphon Srisawasdi who arrived here to attend the 8th High Level Committee Meeting between Myanmar and Thai armed forces on 19 January.
A high-level delegation led by Chief of Defence Forces of the Royal Thai Armed Forces General Chalermphon Srisawasdi arrived in Thandwe Township of Rakhine State by special flight this morning.
The delegation led by Chief of Defence Forces of the Royal Thai Armed Forces was warmly welcomed by Chief of the General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) General Maung Maung Aye and wife, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief and their wives, the commander of Western Command, Thai military attaché to Myanmar and officials at the airport.
It’s reported that during the visit, the delegation will attend the 8th High Level Committee Meeting between the two countries’ armed forces, pay homage to prominent pagodas and visit prominent places.
Senior General Min Aung Hlaing hosted a dinner to General Chalermphon Srisawasdi in the evening.
