Commander-in-Chief (Navy) Admiral Moe Aung received a delegation led by Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Russian Navy Vice Admiral Igor MUKHAMETSHIN who is in Myanmar at the Officer Yeiktha of Ayeyawady Naval region command HQ this morning.
During the meeting, they cordially exchanged views on goodwill visit of warships from both navies, goodwill visit for strengthening the friendship between the two countries’ navies, sending of Myanmar Tatmadaw’s scholarship students to Russia and issues on cooperation between two navies.
Also present at the meeting were senior officers of Tatmadaw (Navy). After the meeting, the Commander-in-Chief (Navy) and Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Russian Navy exchanged commemorative gifts.
