Myanmar’s Acting President, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, who is currently visiting the Russian Federation, met with Mr. Anton Kobyakov, Advisor to the President of Russia, at the Radisson Collection Hotel yesterday evening.
During their meeting, they discussed preparations for holding a free and fair multi-party democratic general election in Myanmar in the near future. They also addressed the conditions necessary for transferring state responsibilities in accordance with democratic standards after the election. Additionally, they talked about the prerequisites for the international community, including the Russian Federation, to recognize and support the upcoming election in Myanmar. Furthermore, they explored ongoing cooperation to implement a roadmap for economic development that serves the common interests of both countries and their peoples.

Following the meeting, the Acting President, Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission, and the Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation, Honorary Consul General, and Director General of the RC Investment Fund exchanged souvenirs.
In attendance were the Acting President, the Chairman of the National Security and Peace Commission, Secretary and Joint Chief Executive General Ye Win Oo, Commission member U Than Swe, Union Minister for Foreign Affairs, Myanmar Ambassador to the Russian Federation U Thit Lin Ohn, and other officials. The Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation, Honorary Consul General, and the Director General of RC Investment Fund, along with their officials, were also present at the meeting.
