A large crowd is at the Mann Shwesettaw Pagoda Festival in March

According to U Thein Hlaing, vice chair of the Pagoda’s board of trustees, the Mann Shwesettaw Pagoda, located in Minbu (Sagu) Township, Magway Region, began receiving large numbers of visitors in March.

It takes place for many days, but there are no Anyeints, theatrical or entertainment programs as part of the pagoda festival. But the pagoda is crowded with pilgrims daily.

Over 900 stalls have been built. The Pagoda Board of Trustees reports that over 7,000 pilgrims visit Mann Shwesettaw Pagoda daily in March.

Minbu has many well-known places like Shinpin Sekkainte pagoda, Nagabwet Hill, Mann Chaung elephant resort, Shwesettaw Wildlife Sanctuary with gold deer and star tortoises, and many famous pagodas.
