The Monywa Township Public Security Bureau announced that the suspects had been arrested in the murder and carjacking incident that occurred yesterday morning in Monywa, Sagaing Region, where murders involving PDFs are common.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The killing occurred when Daw Moe Moe San, a shop owner who sells second-hand goods on Moe Kaung Street in Monywa, was kidnapped by armed PDF members, who included women, on the morning of December 26. When the shop owner did not give in to the kidnapping, they shot her four times and stole her SGG 4D\/4110 Wish car during a scuffle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then, the Monywa Pa Ah Pha said that while pursuing the PDFs who committed the kidnapping and killing, they encountered a military column when they found a car. They posted a post saying that they would identify and arrest the PDFs who committed the kidnapping and killing as soon as possible and that they would arrest them within 12 hours. They also criticized the media for reporting on the abduction and killing and deleted and blocked comments that claimed that the PDFs had kidnapped, robbed, and robbed people. MT News found that Ma Moe Moe San, who was shot and killed and her car robbed when the PDFs were not delivered, was only in her 30s and left behind three children. Some comments under the statement of the Monywa Pa Ah Pha have also been deleted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the afternoon of September 26, five PDFs, who pretended to be shopping, robbed a Nawarat Diamond and Platinum Jewelry store in Myawaddy Ward, Monywa Town, Sagaing Region, and stole more than 1.5 billion kyats worth of diamonds and gold jewelry. After the Monywa Pa Ah Pha investigated the incident, it was revealed that a group of 9 PDFs, including two women, had committed the robbery. Seven of them were arrested, but the Monywa Police have yet to return the stolen diamonds and gold jewellery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, on August 10, 2023, a group of 7 PDFs from the Monywa Force PDF robbed a house on Inn Pyat Road, Htan Taw Ward, Monywa Town, and shot and killed a pregnant woman, Ma Aye Nyein Thu, who was about to give birth. The Monywa Pa Ah Pha broadcast the incident live but then deleted the news, covering it up so the public would forget it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Similarly, on December 10, 2022, PDFs robbed the Shwe Monywa Yadanar Shwe Shop on Bogyoke Street in Monywa, which was reported to be a Dalan Shop, and also shot the shop owner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, four people robbed a gold shop on September 11, 2022, stealing about 10 visses of gold worth over 3 billion kyats at the gold price at the time. The press release of the State Administration Council (SAC) also stated that the PDFs were responsible for the incident but could not respond. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
