{"id":7382,"date":"2024-09-22T10:57:26","date_gmt":"2024-09-22T10:57:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mtnewstoday.com\/en\/?p=7382"},"modified":"2024-09-22T10:57:28","modified_gmt":"2024-09-22T10:57:28","slug":"madame-daw-kyu-kyu-hla-spouse-of-the-state-administration-council-chairman-and-prime-minister-of-the-republic-of-the-union-of-myanmar-sent-video-speech-to-fourth-eurasian-womens-forum","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mtnewstoday.com\/en\/?p=7382","title":{"rendered":"Madame Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, Spouse of the State Administration Council Chairman and Prime Minister of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar sent video speech to Fourth Eurasian Women\u2019s Forum"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>21 September 2024<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Spouse of the Chairman of the State Administration Council and Prime Minister of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Daw Kyu Kyu Hla sent a video speech to the Fourth Eurasian Women\u2019s Forum, which was held under the theme of \u201cWomen for Strengthening Trust and Global Cooperation\u201d from 18 to 20 September 2024 in Saint Petersburg, the Russian Federation.<br>The Opening Ceremony and Plenary Session were launched with the speech of the President of the Russian Federation Mr Vladimir Putin followed by the speeches of Ms Valentina Matvienko, Chairperson of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, and Mr Alexander Beglov, Governor of Saint Petersburg. In addition, the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mr Mikhail Mishustin sent his speech to the Forum. Then, the Plenary Session continued with the speeches delivered by the women leaders of international parliaments and government institutions around the world.<br>In her discussion on the topic \u201cWomen for Strengthening Trust and Global Cooperation\u201d, Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, spouse of the Chairman of the State Administration Council and Prime Minister, highlighted that non-governmental organizations in Myanmar such as Myanmar Women\u2019s Affairs Federation (MWAF), Myanmar Maternal and Child Welfare Association (MMCWA), and Myanmar Women and Children Development Foundation (MWCDF) have been supporting and promoting health, education and economic development for women, expectant mothers, young women, children, and the elderly and ensuring the safety of women\u2019s lives. She also said that she has been giving guidance to those organizations as the Honorary Patron. Half of the population of Myanmar are women, and thus, along with women from all over the world, Myanmar women play a pivotal role in strengthening trust and global cooperation.<br>She underscored that the world is facing challenges such as climate change, poverty, requirements for healthcare and educational services, technological development, violations of human rights, especially women\u2019s rights, trade conflicts and military conflicts. She further urged that the need for professionalism and efficient management skills of women is getting greater day by day.<br>She continued to say that as women mostly bear the burden of conflicts, it is essential to include women\u2019s participation in multi-sector cooperation for the successful implementation of mutual understanding and trust, peace, security and development.<br>She underscored that it is very encouraging to notice the BRICS Women\u2019s Business Alliance\u2019s important mechanism for cooperation among BRICS countries.<br>She highlighted in her speech that it is the time to recognize and champion not only women\u2019s daily activities but also women\u2019s courage, self-confidence, perseverance, leadership, resilience and creativity in dealing with global issues. Myanmar attaches great importance to the significant role of women in achieving the international goals of the United Nations, she added.<br>She expressed her confidence that the Fourth Eurasian Women\u2019s Forum will contribute not only to the promotion of the interests of all women across the world but also to the enhancement of their collective strength for bolstering trust and global cooperation. She then concluded by wishing the Forum continued progress and success.<br>Then, the Forum continued with the discussions under the themes of the Role of Women in \u201cA New Agenda for Peace and Trust\u201d, \u201cEconomic Reality: Technologies and Innovations\u201d, \u201cHealthy Society and Social Wellbeing\u201d, \u201cClean Planet and Food Security\u201d, \u201cPreservation of Traditions and Cultural Diversity\u201d and \u201cBRICS Women\u2019s Forum\u201d.
