With the aim of developing the cultivation of Myanmar green gram, the government will implement the contract-farming system using Ks-60 billion as of this winter season, according to the assorted beans traders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To forming the cooperative societies, the government will disburse the agricultural loans and seeds to farmers by conducting with related green gram import companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe will use Ks-60 billion for five acres of green gram and introduce the contract-farming system but it is not a systematic contract-farming. We, private companies, are mediators who handed over the government-funded loans to farmers,\u201d Dr. Myo Lwin, chairman of Wholesale Centre, told the MT news agency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The government set up a separate fund Ks-400 billion for the economic development of the nation in August and arranged to spend Ks-170 billion for the cultivation of summer paddy and green gram with contract-farming system in the winter season of 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
