13 children with congenital heart disease were successfully treated using the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory without the need for surgery in Yangon Child Hospital, according to the Health Ministry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The operation was jointly performed by Paediatric Cardiologist Dr. Do Nguyen Tin from Vietnam Ho Chi Minh City Children\u2019s Hospital (1), together with paediatric cardiologists led by Professor Dr. Khin Maung Oo on 22 and 23 September 2022 at the Heart Treatment Centre of 550-bed Children\u2019s Hospital, Yangon under the Ministry of Health, according to the statement on 27 October.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Children\u2019s heart disease treatments are performed by pediatric cardiologists at the 550-bed Children\u2019s Hospital (Yangon). By inviting expert pediatric cardiologists from abroad, a total of 1,390 children with heart disease have been successfully treated from August 2015 to date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the 550-bed Children\u2019s Hospital (Yangon), 26,370 children were treated as outpatients, and treatments were given to 1,452 child patients with echocardiogram treatment and 67 pediatric patients who underwent Cardiac Catheterization Procedures from 1 January 2022 to 12 October 2022.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
