In the evening, the PDFs were forced to retreat outside the city due to an air attack by the Tatmadaw helicopters and reinforcements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On August 16th, the PDF coalition which has been trying to capture Tabayin since last January, launched an accelerated offensive with superior strength. At midnight on August 17th, they announced that they had captured Tabayin, but only a few hours later, in the evening, with the army&#8217;s offensive, the PDFs had to flee Tabayin again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Image.
