{"id":5969,"date":"2024-05-27T07:33:21","date_gmt":"2024-05-27T07:33:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mtnewstoday.com\/en\/?p=5969"},"modified":"2024-05-27T07:33:22","modified_gmt":"2024-05-27T07:33:22","slug":"a-current-depression-is-causing-sporadic-heavy-rains-and-strong-winds-in-many-areas-of-myanmar-moezala-forecasts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mtnewstoday.com\/en\/?p=5969","title":{"rendered":"A current depression is causing sporadic heavy rains and strong winds in many areas of Myanmar: Moezala forecasts"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>26 May 2024<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Currently, a deep depression in the Bay of Bengal is classified as Yellow Alert as it is not currently heading towards Myanmar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Due to the depression, in Nay Pyi Taw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyawady, Taninthayi regions and Chin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon states, heavy rain or thundershowers are likely until 27 May.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As natural weather phenomena such as strong winds, flooding and landslides can be accompanied by heavy rains, people living in the hilly areas are warned to be aware in advance of landslides and those living near riverbanks, creeks and low-lying areas of flooding.
