According to local residents, 3 unknown people threw a grenade at the home of the village chief of Thayar Aye village in Amarapura township and 8 family members were injured in the explosion.
The incident happened on the 1st of New Year’s Day (April 17) at around 8:20 PM in Thayar Aye Village, Amarapura Township, Mandalay Region. 3 unknown men drove a CZI motorcycle from the east to the west of the village head of Thayar Aye village and threw a grenade at the home of the head of the village. 5 men and 3 women were hit by bombs, they were taken to Mandalay City Public Hospital by a local social assistance vehicle and are receiving medical treatment.
It is reported that three family members were hit in the abdomen and were life-threatening, while five others were hit only in the limbs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The local security forces are investigating the 3 people who came and threw grenades to harm innocent people and are trying to arrest them as soon as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
