{"id":535,"date":"2022-10-17T09:59:41","date_gmt":"2022-10-17T09:59:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mtnewstoday.com\/en\/?p=535"},"modified":"2022-10-17T09:59:57","modified_gmt":"2022-10-17T09:59:57","slug":"mandalay-sangha-union-stages-demonstration-condemning-attack-on-pilgrims","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mtnewstoday.com\/en\/?p=535","title":{"rendered":"Mandalay Sangha Union stages demonstration condemning attack on pilgrims"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>MT News<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Upper Myanmar Patriotic Myanmar Sangha Union (Mandalay), on 14 October took to the streets in Mandalay to condemn the attack on pilgrims.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a><\/a>About 50 members of Sangha led by Chairman of the Upper Myanmar Patriotic Myanmar Sangha Union (Mandalay) Sayadaw Ashin Eaindavira (Hlegu) and about 100 Tatmadaw lovers under the leadership of U Chit Ko Ko staged the demonstration in the precinct of the Maha Muni Pagoda in Kyunloneshaung Ward, Chanmyathazi Township in Mandalay Region from 9 am to 9.30 am on 14 October, denouncing the attack on pilgrims, according to a local.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A vendor at the staircase of the pagoda said, \u201cI saw about 10 busloads of people with religious flags and placards arrive at the pagoda. They were protesting against the attack on pilgrims at the Kyaiktiyo Pagoda recently.
