A commemorative ceremony of the 75th Anniversary Diamond Jubilee of Pa-O National Day was celebrated at the Pa-O National Comprehensive Development ground in Kangyi ward of Taunggyi on 24th March. At the ceremony, the flag of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and the Pa-O national flag were raised and saluted, and paid tribute to the fallen martyrs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pa-O national leader Phyartansinpha Aung Hkam Hti gave an opening speech and Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Aung also gave a speech. At the speech said that the Pa-O ethnic people mostly live in Shan State (South) and are honest, upright and open, and they have special devotion to religion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since successive governments have placed special emphasis on the Pa-O ethnic group, the state government will continue to cooperate with local ethnics to fulfill their wishes and desires.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, the Pa-O region’s people should cooperate to maintain peace, stability and security of the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
