Vice Chairman of the State Administration Council Vice-Senior General Soe Win inspected the damage in Cyclone Mocha-hit Kyauktaw and Rathedaung in Rakhine State on 19 May.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Vice-Senior General viewed the losses and damage, relief works and rehabilitation processes in storm-hit Kyauktaw and Rathedaung and met the residents, departmental staff, Tatmadaw members and their families separately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Vice-Senior General said the universities and basic education schools will be opened on 1 June and so it should conduct repairing works on the destroyed schools for the students to be able to study safely and peacefully.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In doing so, it should prioritize the high schools that accommodate the largest numbers of students and it should repair the township hospital (50-bed) as quickly as possible, he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It needs to collect the data to launch rehabilitation processes quickly. The departments concerned should collect the correct data in respective townships to distribute the relief items systematically, he continued.
The Vice-Senior General provided basic foodstuffs such as rice, cooking oil, beans and fish paste to the victims of Mocha and departmental staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Vice-Senior General also provided cash assistance to the members of the Bago Region Fire Brigade who served rescue and relief measures in Rathedaung.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Moreover, the Vice-Senior General went to Kyauktaw and Rathedaung stations and comforted the officers, other ranks and families who faced the impacts of natural disasters.
