In the Bago Region, near Oktwin town, armed terrorist attackers launched a rocket-propelled grenade (RPG) attack on a trailer truck and a fuel tanker, setting them on fire and destroying them on the Yangon\u2013Mandalay highway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to local sources, the incident occurred around 3:00 a.m. today, January 19, near Oatphogone village, between Nyaungchetaut and Nyaunglwin villages in Oktwin Township. The terrorist attackers reportedly fired RPGs at the two vehicles, causing them to catch fire and be destroyed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The attack took place between mileposts (134\/7) and (135\/0) of the Yangon\u2013Mandalay highway at approximately 2:50 a.m. No injuries were reported in the incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Due to the fire, one fuel tanker and one 22-wheel trailer truck, a total of two vehicles, were destroyed. Firefighters from Phyu Township Fire Services Department responded with two fire engines and extinguished the fire after more than an hour, bringing it under control by 4:30 a.m. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
