{"id":10828,"date":"2025-06-30T03:05:02","date_gmt":"2025-06-30T03:05:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mtnewstoday.com\/en\/?p=10828"},"modified":"2025-06-30T03:05:05","modified_gmt":"2025-06-30T03:05:05","slug":"high-level-myanmar-delegation-led-by-chairman-of-the-state-administration-council-prime-minister-senior-general-min-aung-hlaing-visits-lake-baikal-and-ulan-ude-lvrz-locomotive-and-carriage-repair-plan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mtnewstoday.com\/en\/?p=10828","title":{"rendered":"High-level Myanmar delegation led by Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing visits Lake Baikal and Ulan-Ude LVRZ Locomotive and Carriage Repair Plant"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>30  June 2<\/strong>025<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The high-level Myanmar delegation led by Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, who is on an official goodwill visit to the Republic of Buryatia, Russian Federation, visited Lake Baikal and Ulan-Ude LVRZ Locomotive and Carriage Repair Plant this morning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>First,&nbsp; the&nbsp; Senior&nbsp; General, accompanied&nbsp; by&nbsp; wife, Daw Kyu Kyu Hla and members of the delegation, and Head of Buryatia Mr. Aleksey Sambuyevich Tsydenov and officials, viewed the Lake Baikal from helicopter.The Senior General while having the bird\u2019s eye view of the lake heard a report on the salient points and conservation undertakings of the natural waterbody, presented by the head of Buryatia. The Senior General asked for more information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Later, the Senior General and party sailed on the lake and had the lake\u2019s closer view.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Located in the area between Irkutsk Oblast in southern Siberia and Buryatia, Lake Baikal is the deepest inland waterbody in the world, with a maximum depth of 1,642 metres (5,387 feet). It is also the world&#8217;s oldest lake at 30 million years.&nbsp; UNESCO declared Baikal a World Heritage Site in 1996. The lake hosts about 1,000 species of plants and 2,500 species of animals. Lake Baikal is acre-scent-shaped lake known for its exceptional natural beauty and unique heritage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Senior General and party arrived at the Ulan-Ude LVRZ Locomotive and Carriage Re-pair Plant, and were welcomed by its head Zaborskikh Sergey Alexandrovich and officials. They observed the entire process of repair works, listened to the reports and inquired about the specific parts that needed detailed clarification.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The head of the plant and officials expounded on maintenance undertakings, generation of job opportunities, international economic relations of the plant. The Senior General asked for more information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Established&nbsp; in 1934, Ulan-Ude LVRZ Locomotive and Carriage Repair Plant is the largest plant of Zheldorremm-ash, the universal enterprise for repair of the rolling stock and production of spare parts. The plant is divided into three main productions \u2013 locomotive repair, and mechanical andauxiliary production.
