It is forecast to move northward slowly, strengthen further and become a depression in the next 24 hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cCyclogenicity in the next 48 hours is considered high and the ECMWF cyclone activity \u2013 including genesis \u2013 stated that there is a 100% chance of a depression. The India Meteorological Department forecast it may develop from a well marked LPA to a depression. There is not enough time to intensify because it is very close to the coast,\u201d said meteorologist U Win Naing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If it reached the cyclone level as well as landfall, it would have been a named one in 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIf it strengthened, rain and wind would be more intense in Myanmar, especially in Rakhine coastal area.
